Marvel Cinematic Universe: A Mind-blowing Media Force Ruling Global Entertainment

Captain America

In 2011 Marvel Studios released Captain America: The First Avenger which presents a World War II-era story of Steve Rogers transitioning from human soldier to super Soldier. Following the administration of the Super Soldier Serum he transforms into Captain America and leads a battle against HYDRA. The film successfully mixes adventure elements with emotional connections and heroic acts which led to his position as an Avenger.

The Avengers

Directed by Joss Whedon, The Avengers was the first successful multi-superhero merge, getting together Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk, Black Widow & Hawkeye. The Avengers represented the superpower of shared universes under one umbrella and rewrote the rules of franchise filmmaking.

Thor the dark world

During 2013 Marvel Studios released Thor: The Dark World as a superhero film under Alan Taylor's direction. During this superhero movie Thor fights against the Dark Elf Malekith through an invincible force called the Aether. The Marvel Cinematic Universe introduced its second Thor sequel in 2013 with Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman alongside Tom Hiddleston.

Captain America Winter Soldier

The 2014 superhero film Captain America: The Winter Soldier comes under the direction of Anthony and Joe Russo. The film features Chris Evans in the title role of Captain America together with Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan. The story merges superhero action with political thriller aspects when Captain America discovers conspiracies inside S.H.I.E.L.D.

Ant-Man  

The 2015 superhero movie Ant-Man received its direction from Peyton Reed. Paul Rudd plays the main character Scott Lang in the Ant-Man film where he transforms into Ant-Man using his shrinking suit which gives him incredible powers. The movie crosses between action-packed sequences with comedic moments and heist storylines in its place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Captain America Civil War

The Russo brothers took the helm to direct Captain America: Civil War in 2016. The story develops around a split between Avengers where Captain America opposes Iron Man because of their disagreement regarding governmental supervision. The movie serves as the opening project of Phase Three in Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Thor: Ragnarok

Under the direction of Taika Waititi the Marvel Studios produced Thor: Ragnarok (2017) showcased its distinctive colorful visual presentation and comical elements. The film tracks Thor as he joins forces with Hulk and Loki and Valkyrie to prevent Hela from destroying Asgard. Critics admired the way this movie transformed the Thor series through its humorous approach along with its new action-focused narrative.
