OCTOBER9MedI aNMENTAs Durga Puja lights up homes and streets with celebrations of strength and victory, V-Guard Industries has rolled out a heartfelt campaign called "The Third Eye." It's not just about the festival, it's a wake-up call for all of us to step up and keep women safe in our daily lives. The campaign kicks off with a clever ad film that imagines a pair of high-tech smart glasses called V-Guard 3i Eyewear. These futuristic shades could scan faces, spot trouble like harassment, and even ping the cops in a flash. But here's the twist: it's all symbolic. The real "third eye" isn't some gadget--it's about opening our eyes as a society to respect and protect women, just like we honor Goddess Durga. The tagline? "Reflect. Respect. Protect." It ties right into Puja's message of good over evil, reminding us that true devotion means making sure women feel safe at home, on the roads, and everywhere else.Nandagopal Nair, V-Guard's VP of Brand & Communication, put it simply: "Durga Puja is a timeless reminder that light conquers darkness, and good triumphs over evil. But the truest tribute to the Goddess lies not in rituals alone, but in how we honour and protect the women around us every single day. The V-Guard Third Eye is not a product--it is a symbolic mirror to society, asking if our homes, streets, and workplaces truly reflect the safety, dignity, and respect women deserve".The ad was made in-house, blending AI for the cool visuals with real human touches in the script, lyrics, and music. The team at Ralph&Das directed it, creating a story that's equal parts inspiring and eye-opening.Anil Ralph Thomas, the agency's Director and Chief Creative Officer, shared his idea: "What if there were actual glasses that could detect perps on the street and call them out to make the streets safer for women? Alas, not yet. This film however intends to be an eye opener to society at large, that it's a collective responsibility."His partner, Kaustav Das, Director and CEO, added: "This was an attempt to urge society to identify, name and shame the known culprits. That's the least we can do for now to keep the predators at bay. Necessity they say is the mother of invention."To get the word out, V-Guard's teaming up with Instagram influencers from fashion to fun, aiming to spark chats across the country during the festivities. No hard numbers yet, but it's set to reach tons of folks.V-Guard, the Kerala powerhouse in home appliances, is showing once again they're about more than just products--they're in for real change. As Puja vibes fill the air, "The Third Eye" asks us to channel Durga's power into everyday kindness and watchfulness for a safer world.
